The time has come!!

Are you ready for some football? I know the Serra Eagles are. The season has finally arrived. Friday night lights are back at Serra! Be sure to come out and see the Eagles begin their quest for perfection against North Catholic. Kickoff is set for 7:30 but come early and tailgate with us. This weeks tailgate will start between 5pm & 5:30pm. All that we ask is for you to bring a side dish or something to drink. The burgers and dogs are being provided by the Touchdown Club this week.

Scrimmage Highlights

Thank You!!

I want to thank all of the parents who took time to help with lunches and make cookies during camp. Everyone did an AWESOME job!! This was the first year that we cooked and prepared the food for camp and I think everything ran smooth plus it saved us some money. In the past we charged each kid to help pay for the lunches, this year the Touchdown Club covered all of the cost. I would like to hear any ideas and suggestions for next year. It is never too early to start planning.

I want to also thank Karen and Bob Maffeo for having Tuesday’s lunch catered and also paying for the hoagies that both teams will have after the scrimmage Friday. Karen and Bob do a lot for our boys that isn’t talked about and I really appreciate their generosity.

We will be having our monthly meeting next Wednesday August 29^th at 7pm. Everyone will get a reminder call next week. We are going to pick a committee to start planning the banquet. Also if you have tickets that you have sold please bring the stubs and money. We are nearing the deadline for selling the Football Frenzy tickets. We have roughly 375 more tickets that need passed out and sold. So let’s make one more good push and get them sold.

Don’t forget about the field clean up Saturday August 25^th. We will be there at 8am.

Field Clean Up!!

The Athletic Association wanted me to let everyone know there will be a field clean up on Saturday August 25^th at 8am.  There is a lot to do before we host our first home game August 31st.  We would like to have everyone come out and help.  We will be trimming the hillside and around the field so if you have a gas powered trimmer bring it with you.  Any equipment you can bring to help out will be appreciated.  If any one has any questions give me a call.

Wednesday Meeting

There will be a meeting Wednesday August 8^th at 7pm in the Friary.  We will discuss the schedule for camp lunches.  It is in everyone’s best interest to attend.  Also, please bring any Football Frenzy ticket stubs and money.  Any questions or if you can’t make the meeting let me know.
